Time for a ban on publicy?

So someone makes an (historic) allegation and it's all over the media; whether it's true or false. Perhaps time for anonymity until and unless the allegations are proven to be true in a court conviction? If the allegation is proven to be untrue, perhaps time for the complainant to be charged with wasting police and courts time, and for CPS to be forced to pay compensation to the accused?
