Eagle
I have heard a rumour that Leigh is about to get a name change. This is apparently due to the change in demography of the town in the main caused by the continual influx of Europeans. From January 1st 2016 Leigh will become Leythuania. This leads the way for a change in Warrington's name to Warr-saw.
wolfie
Penketh has been changed to Speke.
asperity
Where do you get the idea that Penketh is full of scousers Wolfie? I've lived here for 13 years and don't know of any! Indians, Pakistanis, Turks, Chinese and Wiganers but no scousers.
Eagle
If there are Wigginers it would have to be Speyk.
wolfie
Ask Peter, or go in the Crown and Cushion on a Saturday lunchtime.
asperity
I avoid the Crown and Cushion as it's full of Liverpool supporters (who, by definition, cannot be scousers).
Bazj
Asp.... what about the Chinese Elvis that runs the takeaway at the top of your street... isn't he a scouser?
asperity
I don't know to be honest, I never go in takeaways. I doubt he is an ethnic scouser though
wolfie
Don't go in the Crown and cushion, don't go in takeaways, no wonder you think there aren't any scousers in Penketh.
asperity
I didn't say there weren't any, just that I don't know of any. Hardly surprising really, scousers being the quiet shy creatures that they are
