AFRICAAngolaRats to Clear Mines in Angola[NPA] APOPO is to provide 40 Mine Detection Rats which will be integrated into NPA's operations in Angola. Rats have an exceptional sense of smell, and can be trained to detect explosives. Unlike metal detectors, they can detect both metal and plastic-cased landmines.
