Now I read stage directions in a GBS play -- 'Morris wallpapers and with Morris chintz window curtains'. That guy must have been the fashion trend setter of all time. I had seen an opinion that Morris dancing might have been originally 'moorish' dancing. Then when I saw the textile designs I wondered if the Islamic prohibition of representational art was afoot in that.
