Sue Durnim
The background music to the recent ASDA advert sounds to me to be a slow downed version of a song from the Les Miserables, 'Bring Him Home' does anyone else agree?
Sheila_P
I completely agree. When I first heard it (from the kitchen), I thought it was the ad for the new recording by the touring cast. I was really surprised when I went to see and it turned out to be an ad for Asda!
Sue Durnim
Thanks Sheila P for agreeing with me. I was reading an article in the Sundays Daily Express, someone thought it was the 'Humming Choru's from Puccini's Madame Butterfly, although it could be, but it does sound like 'Bring him home' to me. Sheila_P
Even the original 'Cosette' think so!
Dizzy
the answer lies here http://your.asda.com/2010/5/12/the-music-in-our-ad Almost identical to the fantastic 'Bring Him Home' from Les Mis. One of my all time favourites
Sue Durnim
Thanks Dizzy for the link. It is a great piece of music/sound bite, but I still think it sounds like 'Bring Him home' slowed downed, either way the two pieces of music are excellent.
