observer
Are Refs finally getting some authority?
KeithR
They've always had the authority. If they say it's a goal then it's a goal even if it does go in off a balloon. When they get it wrong the result still stands regardless of apologies, because their decision stands. How much authority can a person have? Eagle
What have referees got to do with it? They have always had the authority. It is the people who are allegedly running the game that need to find some bottle. Fergie and others have got away with abusing referees for far too long. Peter T
WHY shouldn't players and managers be allowed to comment on the referees? They do make wrong decisions but don't seem accountable to anyone. If that happened at work, it would be questioned. (Unless you were a YES man).
