Paul Kennedy
Guess these calls centres have created some employment for folks.....and are thankfully not in India.
Dizzy
Always looking on the bright side eh Paul You are right of course and it's nice to hear of call centres being manned in this country rather than outsourced to foreign countries..... but going back to Observers original comment which started this topic The new "swine flu" hotlines are to be manned by immigrants with a poor command of the English language? So although we are not physically being redirected to India we may still have some of the same problems with regards to lack of understanding and/or language barriers
observer
Keep getting calls from these call centres - as soon as I hear broken English - I hang up.
Dizzy
You shouldn't hang ups obs... ..... you should ask them lots of questions and keep them talking as they are paying for the bill. It also confuses them too as if it's not on their script and answer suggestion sheet they get very confused Ok so I can be cruel at times.. but only when they get on my nerves
