Matty
"The Manchester City challenge reminds me of the experience at Chelsea where, without spending one pound, we built a good team," Ranieri was quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper. Well, all I know is you can't turn lead into gold. Good luck!

Eagle
Ranieri is a very good manager and could just be the spark to bring City out of the doldrums.
Peter T
Will a spark be enough?
Matty
To be honest, I do rate Ranieri. It is the people who will be at the top I am sceptical about.
Chris
Ranieri. A good manager and gentleman to boot. Hope he does well.
Matty
Ranieri named as new Juventus manager. Another one drops out of the race for the City job.
bobshaw235
Race for the city job? any manager out of work is saying they need a break from management until the city post has been filled.maybe we could prize Denis Wise from Leeds and Ken Bates could offer to buy City for ninepence. Matty
Maybe, if he put that bid in I would take it. The former Liverpool manager G?rard Houllier, Ruud Gullit and Seville's sought-after Juande Ramos are the names been mentioned now. I believe Cities players don't even know when pre-season starts.
