Well I'm sure that if Europe was the all saving wonderland the pro Europeans try to make out; they would.

Can you list for me, any points about Europe that you think are good for Britain?

I get stuck after Cheap fags and booze (but that gets scuppered by the British Government who won't let you import too much just in case you are selling it.....) The massive downside is how much it costs us as in we pay in x amount and get x amount less loads back!

Here's 10

1 The end of war between European nations

2 Democracy is now flourishing in 27 countries

3 Once-poor countries, such as Ireland, Greece and Portugal, are prospering

4 The creation of the world's largest internal trading market

5 Unparalleled rights for European consumers

6 Co-operation on continent-wide immigration policy

7 Co-operation on crime, through Europol

8 Laws that make it easier for British people to buy property in Europe

9 Cleaner beaches and rivers throughout Europe

10 Four weeks statutory paid holiday a year for workers in Europe

1. So we have to pay out billions every year to stop France and Germany fighting?

2. Democracy is not flourishing in the EUSSR, thats the point!

3. And why is that good for Britain?

4. Britain would still be trading with the rest of Europe without being in the EUSSR.

5. Don't have any idea what that point is supposed to mean.

6. Send all your unwanted immigrants to Britain.

7. The end of Habeus Corpus - Good for Britain?

8. Wow!!! Hold me back!!!

9. And we couldn't achieve that without paying billions to the EUSSR?

10. See 9.

 I was trying to sort out those benefits cited by Kyje, that couldn't be attained by the UK on it's own: errm: 1) And end to War between European Nations eh? Isn't Russia (west of the Urals) IN Europe, where misguided EU policies are re-inventing a cold war?! Arn't the Balkan States (ex-Yugoslavia) IN Europe, where EU meddling has encouraged civil war, genocide and ethnic cleansing?! And havn't European Nations been dragged by the US into Wars in the Middle East? 2) "Democracy" - well if you consider the ignoring of three referendums democracy, perhaps the EU is truly Orwellian. I notice you never mentioned the Brussels gravy train, with MEPs raking in expenses at OUR expense, and the nonesense of spending ?millions transfering the EU Parliament from Brussels to Strasbourg and back - every year! Interesting mock vote on EU membership on TV tonight, by a sample electorate in Luton:- 63% against the Lisbon Treaty, 54% want to come out of the EU asap!
