BBQ style Dipping sauce or marrinade

1/2 jar of honey

1/2 tube of tomato puree

3 crushed garlic cloves

1 orange squeezed juice a few dabbs of zest.

2 tablespoons of sugar (heaped for real sweet)

chopped jallepenos to taste

a dash of coca cola or irn bru

dash of salt

 

 

boil it all up in a pan, careful of pan spits cause its like molten lava.

 

nice for breaded chicken dip, or a chicken wing/leg marrinade

My Mums BBQ Sauce

 

2 tbsp. butter

1/2 c. water

1 c. ketchup

2 tbsp. vinegar

pinch of salt

pinch of pepper

1/4 to 1/2 an onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp. lemon juice

2 tbsp. brown sugar

1 tsp. dry mustard powder

 

Melt butter. Saute onion until soft. Add the rest. Simmer for 20 minutes. Makes about 2 cups of BBQ sauce.
