And the deadline for an application, whether from the David Bosomworth-led consortium of the fans' organisation, is 5pm on Tuesday June 24th. The two bodies must first decide which will submit the initial written application, which has to be in by 1pm on Friday ahead of the league's AGM on Saturday. And the league had emphasised that only one application will be considered. Quote

Wiretown.Editor Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 From this weeks newsletter - looks like they are defiitely in The UniBond League is set to accept a Halifax team into its Division One North. After weeks of negotiations the consortium finally accepted defeat in trying to re-start the club at a higher level up the non-League Pyramid. UniBond League secretary Phil Bradley confirmed the news after Friday's lunchtime deadline was extended, because the consortium had accepted conditions of membership but not the division. "The business consortium has now accepted its team will be playing in UniBond Division One North," he said. "We would expect everything to go through at Saturday`s annual meeting. "We told the consortium a place in our premier division was not for discussion." The consortium last week appealed against Halifax Town's expulsion from the Football Conference and that failed. Last month creditors rejected a rescue package put together by the consortium for the club which went into adminstration in March with more than ?2 million debts. Quote
