telephone preference scam.

Recommended Posts

Just had a call from a guy claiming to be from the telephone preference company, the ones who are supposed to block nuisance calls. after the usual blurb about name address etc they then asked if i paid my phone by direct debit or over the counter and proceeded to ask me to confirm my bank details. when i refused several times they put the phone down. similar thing to this one, reported earlier in the week.

be warned folks.

Thanks for the warning Evils.  I hope nobody falls for it :(

Did you do 1471 to get their number and/or report it to 101 and the Action Fraud people?  They say people should report all instances as it gives a bigger picture about the activity of these scammers.
