observer
Boy George's latest scare story is that Brexit will result in higher mortgage rates; but with 5 million migrants leaving the UK (hopefully) housing demand and thus house prices will decrease. Perhaps George's next revelation will be that Brexit will cause an earthquake in the North Sea, resulting in a tsunami that will engulf Britain, sinking us below the waves. I can see the migrants swimming to France !

I can see the migrants swimming to France ! well they found 2 Iranians in a rubber dinghy yesterday that had sailed across the channel from France..... across one of the worlds busiest shipping lanes. Only spotted in the early hours by the crew of a ferry when they shone the torch off a mobile phone. Did they take them back to France???......nah... they brought them back to England of course!! observer
They've been coming in, in and under lorries for years; but what the Gov and the media don't tell us, is what actually happens to these arrivals. Are they immediately sent back to France or deported to their homelands ? OR, are they given shelter, food and water, while awaiting a court date for their HR lawyer prompted asylum appeal; which can take years ? When and if they do finally wind up in court and have their appeal denied and await deportation; do they skip bail and disappear into crowd and off the Gov's radar? For those that commit crimes and add to our prison population, and are subject to a deportation order; with flights being booked home etc; do we have enough UKBF staff to escort them home, and if not; does this result in cancelled flights (and loss of money) and the continued expense of keeping them in HMP ? I hasten to add, that none of this is the fault of the EU, other than the fact that they were allowed to enter Europe in the first place, but the fault of HMG adhering to HR laws. Well brace yourselves for the next invasion from Libya, where thousands of Africans are arriving in a country with two warring factions plus ISIL, who have little or no control over the situation. Perhaps worse, ISIL have now captured a port on the Med coast, an ideal departure point to mix their jihadist nut cases in with the rest of these migrants. observer
Seems Brexit will cost every family £4,300pa; this look into the future comes from the Treasury (no doubt under orders from Osbourne); who we may remember, totally failed to see the 2008 financial crash coming. Meanwhile, reality is paddling across the Med to Italy.

I'm surprised they never made the figure £4,329.67p just to be even more unbelievable.....That was based on his crystal ball estimates 14 years into the future The idiots can't predict 14 months into the future when it comes to financial forecasting anyway so why would we possibly believe them? Davy51
Once we come out of the EU there will surely be a big hole in the £350 million of our weekly contribution to offset these scare stories with. Isn't the foreign aid budget controlled by Europe too ? If so that could be turned down to a trickle.
observer
The UK is one of the biggest donors to overseas aid, in it's own right; but that doesn't stop the EU from doling out OUR money too. EG: £6 billion to buy off those four faced Turkish black-mailers. If we total up all the waste and corruption in the EU, I'd guess it dwarfs the £4,300 cost per family; but we're never told about it. Meanwhile, it seems 25% of rough sleepers in Manchester are EU migrants, these are those EU migrants that would boost our economy and be paying large amounts of tax, to support the public services that they consume. It seems Manchester are offering to pay for their return home, although only a minority are taking up the opportunity - perhaps the benefits are better over here, wonder how much that's costing each UK family per year?.
