algy
Are Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons attempting to drive the 10,000 dairy farmers out of business by selling milk at extreme deflated prices resulting in the 'Big Four' importing milk from the continent to sell milk to the British public at whatever price they think fit. asperity
If the UK dairy farmers are being forced to sell their milk to UK supermarkets at a price less than that which continental dairy farmers are selling their milk, then why aren't the UK farmers selling to the continent and undercutting their continental rivals? Someone is being less than candid about this issue I feel.
observer
Think they did the same to S/African wine producers and British prawns are exported to France, while we import ours from Madagascar - all in the name of cheap prices. wolfie
Not sure if there is a difference but whenever I have travelled around the EU it's difficult to find fresh milk, they all seem to drink the UHT, particularly in France. asperity
I don't drink milk at all, haven't done for years.
