Cleopatra
Many, many years ago, centuries ago in fact, some people gave their labour free. It was called slavery!
Bazj
You lot want to try being self employed.... now there is free labour for you! Work for nothing but pay the tax and VAT men for the priviledge and to keep the workshy in benefits..... The self emplyed should not pay tax...... unless they can be proven to earn £50k a year. Encourage entrepreneurs!

Peter T
Pete what is this BS you and OBS are advocating and why is it new? That's the problem on this Forum. People do NOT read the posts and inwardly digest. NO-ONE said advocating. That's how wars start with quoting incorrectly. As a Councillor, you should be perfectly aware of what the BS is. Not for a lowly peasant like myself to tell you.
observer
You mean the self employed actually pay tax Baz?!
Bazj
You mean the self employed actually pay tax Baz?! when you only do non-cash jobs.... yes, I'm afraid they do. Whereas most mechanics, plumbers etc. could lay their hands on wads of cash (much of which the taxman would never see or hear about); anyone running a business which primarily deals with other businesses are usually skint! Peter T
You're only skint when you are down to your last £100.
Peter T
You're only skint when you are down to your last £100. Or should that be £1500 or whatever the threshold is before the Gov. start subsiding you?
