Sparky71
The building is an old cabinet works with a church at the side of it. The other side backs onto Barbauld Street at the back of Woolies. I have never known it to be used for anytjing for years, certainly never a night club. I saw a few months ago, an article in the Guardian about developers wanting to turn it into a food court type place.
DS
I think you are all talking about the old Garnett building. It has the word "Garnett" printed on it in large letters! If so, there are plans for redevelopment, preserving the interesting "tower" which forms part of the building. I think the proposals involve shops, restaurant, offices, etc. We ran a story on the news pages last year some time. I wrote the darned thing but I am afraid the old memory isn't what it used to be.
