indy
Archaeologist & Historian James Balme has been unearthing ancient history for many years as he researches a Roman landscape in Cheshire. Now even after 12 years of recovering finds at the settlement James has made two more major discoveries of Roman artefacts that will add yet another piece of the jigsaw of Roman activity in the village. See for yourself the remains of a Roman Milestone that James found embedded deep under a hedge, placed there after it had been ploughed up and removed from the field as it was a hazard to farm equipment. Also see a wonderful Roman Republican silver coin recovered by James just hours before this film was made !!!!
observer
thought you'd found an inscription - "when in Rome, do as the Romans do"!
indy
The coin found and featured in the film has been accurately identified as being the Roman Goddess Venus dated to 82bc, She's got it, Baby she's got it !!! to paraphrase a song ....
