Charles Ashton was almost certainly the licensee of the Orford hotel in gorsey Lane, with a number quite close to yours. Edward therefore must have lived close to the hotel, near to the co-op and Norris street Chapel. Rylands rec was 150 yards away, more towards the lower numbers.
