gmail accounts

It would appear most spammers use gmail accounts these days and i'm, thinking of putting a general ban on them - would this cause problems for genuine posters?

Not for me, I only know one gmail user but she lives in LA. Funny thing is that she change to gmail as it was deemed more secure, but then that's Americans for you and I though she knew better as she always mocks them.
