BRAITHWAITE RAF BURTONWOOD AND OTHER

Recommended Posts

Hi there to all,

I am trying to locate family of ours due to the writing of a history book.

Searching for descendants of Joseph Braithwaite and son who drowned 1900's in the canal. Joseph married Margaret Darlington .. both buried in churchyard of St Mary's Warrington.

Also Percy, Sydney, Septimus Noel Braithwaite descendants.

Have some pics of aircraft taken with family RAF men nearby ? Need help ...

You have to realize that most of the people connected first-hand with the Burtonwood base are either dead or on their last legs!

Hi Desiree,

Have you tried checking on the 'Curious Fox' website ? It's free, and you may get some answers.

Also, you can check with the Warrington Library, Archives. They may have something on the drowning.

Good Luck ! :D

Actually there is a still a thriving Burtonwood Association both sides of the Atlantic - and a museum at Gullivers Wolrd theme Park in the town.
