observer
The latest gem: some idiot has come up with the idea of a bonus for surgeons who's patients survive their ops. Errm, I thought "surviving an operation" was the general idea for which they are paid a great deal; and isn't "surviving an operation" what the patient expects? Perhaps instead of this half baked idea; they should try it the other way round - dock their pay for every patient who DOESN'T survive?!
