Observer II
George Galloway harvested the Muslim vote from Labour, and now, no doubt, plans to wreak havoc against Starmer in the Commons. Given that this is set to be a national trend in Muslim dominated areas, perhaps it's time our voting system was properly scrutinised ? The suspicion is, that the Patrician nature of the demographic, allows the postal vote system to be abused, by allowing patriarchs to actually cast the postal votes of their sons, daughters, wives and mothers, many of whom may have no interest or understanding of the politics involved. So now Labour has lost this lucrative source of support, perhaps they'll support an ending to postal voting and a return to individual voting in private, at the ballot box ? 😑
Observer II
Interesting that Rishi Washi targets the extremes of right and left in his panic speech, but the right haven't made a move yet, all we've had is one particular demographic monopolising our political discourse and our streets, backed up be a woke police force. 😠
Lt Kije
He only won because labour did not stand, the only thing this thread tells us, is you have a big chip on your shoulder when it comes to muslims
Observer II
He won because Starmer alienated the Muslim vote over his Gaza position and because with only a 40% turnout, the Muslim farming of postal votes, ensured they would win. In the past, Labour has relied on this vote in Muslim Areas, alas, it can do so, no longer. The fact that an independent came second, shows that the majority of folk have given up on the main Parties, with Starmer and Sunak being two cheeks of the same ass. ! 😑

Observer II
Starmer was trying to retain credibilty with the Western elites, just like Sunack; by failing to call for a permanent cease fire in Gaza; thus alienating Muslims and the leftwaffe. Frankly, I hope Reform don't care if they upset the Muslims or the woke left. However the result is, that Galloway will be a thorn in the side of both Leaders till the next election, providing some much needed opposition in the Commons. 😑
