Observer II
Clearly our Country is in a mess, heading for icebergs with no one at the wheel. We've got migrants illegally entering this Country in boats, being picked up by the UKBF, and being allocated hotels or floating hotels to live in while awaiting chronic delays in processing asylum applications. Well there's a simple answer, if we can impose some dicipline into our civil service, any illegal migrant would have presumed refusal for any asylum claim and is deported immediately, thus saving the tax-payer £8mill per day on 4 star accomodation. Seems the French don't provide such luxury accomadation, hence the migrant camps around Calais. Meanwhile, we have record numbers of migrants being allowed into this Country through our visa system, to provide cheap labour for employers, including farmers. As a minimum such visas would be for tempory seasonal work only, and not represent leave to stay. Simply our politicians, undermined by our civil service, are just not getting a grip of the situation, and it's all Parties, so a change to Labour won't make any difference, in fact their open door attitude would make things worse. Then we have the consequences of this influx appearing on our streets, with increased crime and increased public tension, as Islamic entrants enter the political protest arena. 😠

Observer II
Like the majority of British residents, I support controlled immigration, bringing the specific skills we need and can't produce locally, so I guess the majority are obsessed. All populations age, including immigrants, and they will require hospitals, schools etc etc.

Observer II
"Just shouting louder", the only people I see doing that are woke lefties, who can't take being outvoted, all the latest polls show over 60% opposition to migrants. Never mind "aging" population, consider over-population, with higher and higher demands on our public services, and migrants don't pay taxes. Really Obs, You have a Tory Home Secretary shouting for you, as it is a vote winner or she thinks it is for the right wing, sometimes it's funny debating with you as you obviously live on planet Inobservant, and to think you wanted to be a Labour Councillor, Theres nothing Liberal or left-wing about you😛
Observer II
With age comes wisdom, something your a stranger to, and common sense isn't that common, especially in the woke liberal middle class. .
