Jerry Posted May 17, 2008 Report Share Posted May 17, 2008 The postman brought my copy of Jumbles Wood this afternoon. It's a delightful easy reader aimed at preteens. I can easily relate to Old Crow, Blink Otter, and Snuff Rabbit. Especially nice touch is the portraits of an animal at the beginning of each chapter. The artist gives them personality. Another nice touch is the Old Crow Dictionary at the end of the book, to assist young readers with the vocabulary. I'd like to see this book catch on with elementary school children. Excellent.
