I feel sorry for these men. There was a story in the news a few years ago about a former soldier, now permanently in a wheelchair with one arm crushed and useless, who had his benefits stopped because the crushed arm was his left arm and he could still write with his other hand. Thought that was a terrible way to treat someone who had had his young life destroyed.

 

A lot of money has been diverted from community projects (National Lottery funds) to help these men. I think it would be more appropriate to give them funding from the 'spoils of war'. All the big businessmen that are making millions in arms sales and 'developing' the areas previously destroyed by the wars should be paying a 'soldiers compensation' tax. 

 

Another option - sue Tony Blair.
