observer
Seems the crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is on a visit to elicit all sorts of lucrative deals with the UK , as part of his modernisation plans, no doubt all bringing jobs and money into the UK. However, the opposition Labour Party appear to oppose this with arguments about the Human Rights record of the Saudis. As the morality arguments could be applied to most of our potential trading partners, including China; perhaps we need to decide which takes priority - pragmatism or principle ? asperity
Do you mean "elicit"? Asking for someone who speaks English
Davy51
Arms is a dirty business but Britain wants to provide jobs for its working age population so as long as these weapons are sold in a defence scenario that may placate the protesters. In any case ,if we don't provide them the Saudis will go elsewhere.
