The kindred spirits & sense of 'All in it together' brought a nation together as one. However subsequent generations who followed the end of the war in 1945 soon experienced new lives and a new culture in Britain. But we should never forget the sacrifice made by everyone both at home & abroad during such a stressful & traumatic period of history.
