observer
I remember once, looking at the family tree of the two houses; and thinking quite a lot of peasants got killed over, what was essentially, a family quarrel! Did Henry VII effectively bring an end to the feudal system, by taxing the nobility instead of them retaining their own troops, and bringing them into his court, where he could keep an eye on them?
