JayC
It never improved with the likes of Pele, Best and Marsh going there so I doubt very much it will with Beckham although the merchandise sales will not doudt go through the roof. bobshaw235
One man cannot make the whole of the American league better, but i bet he makes L.A. Galaxy better,i wonder if we are about to become saturated with American football(sorry soccer) on our T.V. screens because of the Beckham effect? Matty
It has been on channel 5 for a while now, it just on extremly early in the morning due to time differences. But I did notice Sky are including the results on the football news channel since he annouced his switch to LA. In answer to your question, it might improve the standard a little as it might attract better players. However i'm not sure how many overseas players they are allowed in each side. observer
It will be interesting to see how US soccer develops with home grown players; rather than the expensive imports we use - oops, forgot; I suppose Beckham is "an expensive import"!
