indy
Archaeologist & Historian James Balme has been investigating the landscape that surrounds him for over 30 years. In that time his research has led him to uncover numerous ancient & exciting artefacts from the soils of Cheshire dating from as far back as 6000BC !!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPpgXye8sR8 Apart from his archaeological work James has also built himself a reputation as a competent television historian and he has featured in many well know television programmes in the North west of England in the past eight years appearing on BBC Northwest Tonight, Granada Reports and also a feature for the BBC Inside Out series on his archaeological work in the area. In 2006 James invited Channel 4's cult archaeological series Time Team to join him for a three day dig. His invitation was gladly accepted by Tony Robinson and the Team and the rest is as they say ' History' !!! Despite Time Team turning up very little evidence at his site James went on to discover many more exciting Roman artefacts from the area after the Time Team had left for pastures new ..... This film is just a small selection of some of the television work that James has featured in during his research. James continues to uncover more vital evidence from our ancient past and hopefully this will feature on British television in the future .......
