indy Posted August 7, 2009 Report Share Posted August 7, 2009 For 12 years archaeologist & historian James Balme has been researching and excavating what he believes is an ancient settlement in Cheshire. He has recovered evidence left behind from over 8000 years of human activity at the site including tools, coins and brooches from as far back as the neolithic and in particular the Roman period. Now join James as he launches yet another season of intensive research and investigation at the ancient settlement that is slowly starting to reveal more evidence of Roman Military activity at the site during the 1st & 2nd century. This film was shot on the evening of the 6th August 2009 as the combine harvesters arrived at the settlement to remove the harvest from the fields !!!
