indy
In May 2009 Archaeologist & Historian James Balme recovered a stone carving from the river Bollin in Cheshire. Following subsequent cleaning and restoration of the stone effigy James continued his research into the origins of this important discovery of what may prove to come from the Bronze Age, Iron Age or Roman period of British history. See for yourself for the first time the carving being held by James giving the viewer the chance to see just how big the statue actually is !!!! The carving seems to represent a child wrapped in swaddling and this is made even more apparant as James cradles the effigy for the first time since finding it buried deep in the bed of the river Bollin. The carving seems to be on an exact scale of a small child of approximately 12 months old.
