Jerry
My grandson was glued to the Tour de France, then the Olympic cyclists. Today we saw some German countryside (looks a lot like rural Illinois). Looks like a tremendous effort by cyclists.

Jerry
Yes, it;s in the SW Bavaria area -- 9 days Deuschland Tour. Many Int'l teams pumping their hearts out on a 2 kilometer stretch uphill.

Jerry
Exceptionally green hills and meadows. Beautiful weather for the tour. A couple weeks ago I read a piece on the 'net about six health resorts in Germany for the treatment of cancer. They said R. Reagan had been to one for his cancer, and he lived 19 years after the visit. Big name people with money go to these scenic resorts to have cancer 'cooked' out of their bodies. I used to want to tour France on a canal boat, but now I'd like to include Beethoven's country side as well.
