pudpud26
Hello, I am trying to do my family history and found out recently my great-grandfather (an american - negro, as it stated on his death certificate) was killed at rylands wire works by a fracture of the skull at work, died in the infirmary at warrington 2 days later.(31st August 1917) He lived at 15 Dolmans Lane, and was married to Charlotte (who died April 1917). I can't tell if my great grandmother was white or black. Does anyone have any details regarding the above incident in which an inquest was held on 3rd September 1917, or anything about the family. Oh His name was HENRY BUTLER.
Gary
Hi Pudpud. Bit before our time and there is a housing development now taking place called Carrington Park. Rylands was taken over by Carrington Wire and I would be surprised if they had accident records dating back so far. Good luck with your research.
