observer Posted June 18, 2008 Report Share Posted June 18, 2008 Seems experts from several Universities, are predicting that dementia will become one of the top three diseases in the future, and will cripple our NHS and Social Services - should we apply the same quality of life criteria to ourselves as we do our pets? observer Posted June 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 19, 2008 Dementia is probably one of the worst diseases precisely because of it's effect on loved ones; and yes it is a burden on families AND will become an even bigger burden on the State (taxpayers) in the future; to the point where some fundemental decision making will be required - it's the elephant in the room.
