Dizzy Posted July 10, 2013 Report Share Posted July 10, 2013 Note by Dizzy... it doesn't mention it on the council's website info but the main DAD website says there is a FREE FULLY ACCESSIBLE PARK AND RIDE service running from Wilderspool Park - Greenalls Avenue (WA4 6HL) next to Morrisons , Wilderspool Causeway. The first minibus from Wilderspool park leaves at 9.30am and every 15 minutes thereafter. The last bus will leave Walton Gardens at 5.40pm (note the gates at Wilderspool park will be locked at 6.00pm). Disability Awareness Day Date: 14th July 2013 Location: Walton Hall Gardens Time: 10:00 - 17:00 Cost: FREE The event will see exhibitors, equipment suppliers, transport, holiday and leisure providers, employment services and support groups descend on the purpose-built tented village in Walton Hall Gardens. The event will also feature an extensive array of entertainment, including Pimp my Scooter, featuring mobility aids in the form of a US Army Jeep and a Harley Davidson and performances from Britain’s Got Talent semi- finalists Urban Gypsies and Carly Ryan and Martin Finn from the BBC’s Autistic Superstars. The show begins at 10am and finishes at 5pm. Entry is FREE and also includes a free programme. Services from across Warrington Borough Council will be in attendance in Marquee 6, on stands 20-30. The Benefits Bus and Change4Life trailer will be positioned on the hard standing. Services attending include: Family Information Service Inclusion team Fostering and Adoption Contact Warrington Sensory Centre Trading Standards Recycling Adult Social Care Services will be providing attendees with advice, information and interactive activities.
