observer
Interesting prog about benefit fraud last night: EG - 30yr old bloke claimed family allowance and tax credits for 36 (fictitious) kids, all he had to do was fill out a form, no proof required, and he netted over ?80,000. He got less than two years prison = ?40k pa - not bad! Even the Judge asked why no one at the DoWP had noticed the scam earlier. The other one was a couple, who created fictitious applicants with fictitious kids, and bought houses for cash to give different home addresses; they made over ?2million and got 4 years prison - not bad - ?500k pa! wolfie
The person(s) working at the DoWP should have been sacked for incompetence. This was a bloke of 30 living in a 1 bedroom flat and apparantly with 36 kids Did no one look at the forms he had filled in
Peter T
I don't think they employ people to think these days. Everything is that computerised, all that is left for employees to, is to tick boxes.
