I'm retired, bored and watch a lot of TV, but careful not to get drawn into series stories which I consider something like soap opera. I've never seen SURVIVOR, GLEE, MAD MEN, 30 ROCK, THE SOPRANOS or other top promoted shows. The classic film station is where I spend time. Maybe Mary has seen it. However, I've worked out why they use this flashback format - it's designed for alzeimers victims so they're constantly refreshed with the story line; it comes in handy for grumpies who fall asleep watching it too! Jerry Posted November 1, 2010 Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 I've now seen a promo tease for it -- it features a handsome young actor as an ersatz Obama -- and he is saying to an aide, "I"m the President, I need to know!" about some 'need to know' secrets. Come to think of it, the reason I don't see those shows is: they require a commitment of too much time. Can't miss an episode -- and I'm not on a fixed schedule these days.
