Jerry Posted September 27, 2010 Report Share Posted September 27, 2010 On Sept. 26 my grandson went to see MUSE in concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He says every cut on every album is perfection and a must listen. I said, "what about Linkin Park and..." No, no. Those albums have one or two songs to hear again and again, but MUSE is..... I don't get it. He's played their stuff for me when I'm captive in the automobile and he is driving. It's decent melody but I can't hear any of the lyrics beyond a word here and there. So far as I'm concerned it may just be background noise for kids who can't abide silence. He's a got an ear -- appreciates Glenn Miller's IN THE MOOD, and listens respectfully to Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto, and Liszt's Liebestraum, and the Bee Gees -- even has them on his iPOD with the new stuff.
