Mediaman
as my tears drop into the lake standing right there looking back all I see is the reflection of this single soul to hope you would be right with me im just a dreamer And to remember the time the day you caught my eye so many words could have told the moment the sun shining right on you by the lake side you were in the stunning sari your deep glossy hair striking in the sunlight all those times you and I All the world in its wonder in those evenings and nights we danced, and walked as the cool evening breezing wrapped around us whispering your name in the moonlight I never wanted to wake up from this dream Pure perfection everday But now as the stars shine my heart cries into the silence of the night trying to survive to whisper what I wanted to say to you wondering why it had to be this way looking back All I see is you Missing you in the shadows, in the darkest hour I dont know what to do everytime I try to remember you Standing here im caliing out for you why did you have to go im missing you you touched my soul change my life to know what reflects in me now the sadness and the happiness I cant bare it anymore without you, I feel so hollow, shattered inside. I can?t live without you My heart just crying for you Wanting to hold your hand for that one last time the moment will last That I hope always My tears tell the story now Wish I could see you again
Jerry
That's decent. But Rudyard Kipling did it better IMHO, if I may say so. I've forgotton it but there was some rhythm in the (?) carriage. I have a thing for the dark eyed long black hair beauties myself. And come to think of, Richard Mason (?) who wrote THE WORLD OF SUZIE WONG, went on to write two more novels of romance, one in Japan, and one in India. But back to the poetry: listen to Roger Whittaker's song: The Last Farewell, There's a ship lies rigged and ready in the harbor... say, I'll look it up and post it. Wonderful song lyric of breaking heart.
Jerry
There's a ship lies rigged and ready in the harbour Tomorrow for old England she sails Far away from your land of endless sunshine To my land full of rainy skies and gales And I shall be aboard that ship tomorrow Though my heart is full of tears at this farewell refrain: For you are beautiful And I have loved you dearly More dearly than the spoken word can tell (repeat) I heard there's a wicked war a blazing And the taste of war I know so very well Even now I see the foreign flag a raising Their guns on fire as we sail into hell I have no fear of death; it brings no sorrow But how bitter will be this last farewell refrain: For you are beautiful And I have loved you dearly More dearly than the spoken word can tell (repeat) Though death and darkness gather all about me And my ship be torn apart upon the seas I shall smell again the fragrance of these islands In the heaving waves that brought me once to thee And should I return safe home again to England I shall watch the English mist roll through the dell refrain: For you are beautiful And I have loved you dearly More dearly than the spoken word can tell (Roger Whittaker)
