Jerry Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 I lived through the Nixon years - he was my congressman, then my senator, and then president of the USA. I wasn't really interested in this stage play or film but my grandson insisted we get the DVD (he saw it at the theater) and yes, it was all there and Ron Howard did an amazing job of keeping us interested in the details. For me two highlights were Pat McCormack as Pat Nixon (The Bad Seed, 1956, little girl is a serial killer) and the topic of cheeseburgers. I've had my share and it seems Frost and Nixon had their share. But Nixon's doctor made him give them up in favor of cottage cheese with pineapple. He called the Hawaiian cheeseburgers. Yum, either way. Quote
