Geoffrey Settle Posted April 6, 2008 Report Share Posted April 6, 2008 There were two events advertised today - one a walk starting at the Millhouse Pub and the other helping in Woolston Park working on the Secret Garden. As my back and knee are playing up I went for the easy three mile walk with rangers Andrea and Elaine. About a dozen people turned up and we walked through the local parks via the green routes. We had a couple of stops at which point Andrea told us about the area, wildlife and history. Very enjoyable, I bailed out at Parkfields just as it started snowong again plus my knee was giving up on me. But before I left we talked about Mark Olly and his local knowledge and I mentioned Indiana James and his Roman exploits.
