observer
An independent review body recommends a 1% pay increase for nurses (still below the rate of inflation), and the Government ignore it. Whilst appreciating the Tory arguments on the issue; I notice that the public sector pay policy involves Judges, who presumably aren't about to join the "new poor". So wouldn't it be better to offer public sector workers a fixed amount (say £10 or 20 whatever), rather than a percentage; thus providing a higher percentage to the lowest paid?
