    On Monday 20 May 2013, in recognition of the long and close association between Warrington Borough Council and the 75 Engineer Regiment (Volunteers), the Council granted the honour of the Freedom of the Borough to the Regiment.
     
    A freedom march will take place on Armed Forces Day, Saturday 29 June 2013, commencing at 10.15am at the Town Hall, marching through the Town Centre and concluding with a medal presentation and musical display from the military band in Queens Gardens, ending at approximately 2pm. Members of the public are invited to observe throughout the town.

    Infuse is a free festival in Warrington, held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday 29 June 2013.
     

    It will showcase a market of local businesses and artisan producers, live music, food and drink, a skate park and a DJ workshop to list but a few of the activities. The stadium will be opening its doors to the general public for the first time to view the Wire2Wolves Timeline at the event. Infuse will be a great free day out with a festival atmosphere suitable for all the family.
     
    Market
    The main hub of the day will feature a market with a variety of stalls including the following:
    Farmers market
    Food and drink
    Arts & crafts
    Handmade gifts
    Vintage boutique
    Jewellery
    Health and beauty
    Alternative therapies
    Second hand bikes

    Live Music
    Infuse will be showcasing the local music scene and will feature live music from Fifth Avenue, Selfish Lovers, Ca Callie, Richard Caddock, Seamus, Kye Jones and Ashley Sherlock. For details of the full line up please visit the website.
     
    There will also be lots of children's activities including inflatables, face painting and interactive workshops that are designed to ensure the day is fun for all visitors who attend. The day also aims to give people the opportunity to try something new with workshops including street art, dance, kids cookery, music, bike repair, and the O2 Think Big School, which helps young people to explore enterprise ideas. There will also be an art exhibition and talks from inspirational speakers.
     
    All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Walton Lea Project, a local charity providing supported employment and a sense of community for adults with learning difficulties. For further information please visit the website www.infusefestival.com.
