Evil Sid
About the only part of my house that would require any extra insulation is the extension that houses the kitchen and the bathroom. Loft all up to spec. windows all double glazed, plastic doors front and back. energy saving lights throughout and led lights in the reading lamps cavity walls all done. Was told when they did the cavity walls that they do not insulate kitchens. imagine then my surprise last week when a chap rang my doorbell and offered to insulate the cavity walls of my kitchen. Even though he said it was free I was a bit suspicious and after talking to one of my neighbours who had it done I think I may have been right to refuse as he seemed to think they did a rather rush job of it. Still who knows maybe i will look into it further and see what it involves.
Lt Kije
Hasn't the warm front scheme ended? And when it was going did you not have to qualify?
Evil Sid
One of the reasons I was a bit suspicious. The guy did not even ask any sort of questions. Apart from "do you want your kitchen cavity wall insulating" and adding "It's free!!!"
observer
Perhaps it's best to operate on the principle that nothing is "free" - fresh air perhaps - but not in China!
