Mary, we see media examples of the American sense of humour on TV and movies, but how does the ordinary person on the street's sense of humour compare with ours, incidentally "Cheers" is still my favourite all time comedy show, I never tire of watching it whereas Mrs Algy can't stand it.

British sense of humour, for me is the best. Having said that American is ok, but give me a Britcom anyday. I thought Cheers was ok years ago - but actually Frasier was much better. Right now Big Bang Theory is the only American comedy I like. Give me Monty Python any day. But then some people think I am weird!

On a a completely different note - why don't my smiley's work??
