Not entirely; we can blame her for allowing EU fishermen into OUR fishing grounds, but blame the EU for later imposing limits on the catch, which meant them throwing back dead under sized fish.

Not quite, there was disagreement as to how far their fishing limits extended - they chose to protect their own interests.

Same thing. Iceland unilaterally extended their territorial waters - if Maggie had been in, we would have invaded them !

how could it have been "their fish" if their waters didn't extend to the areas we were fishing.... it was only after they extended their waters that we were in dispute... before that we were fishing in international waters
