Cleopatra
Are people getting paranoid about child abduction? Police received a call saying that a man had grabbed the arm of a boy in Next in Gemini Retail Park. They raced to the store and after fully investigating and watching in-store cctv video, they stated that no crime had been committed and at no time was the boy approached by anyone in the store. Maybe a hoax call?
Lt Kije
Looks like a hoax call, it's very sad if t was. The police have no choice but to treat the call as a genuine call, and probably sent 2 or 3 cars that could have been doing other jobs
observer
Seems the quickest way to get a police response nowaday - just say a gun or a peado are involved!
Evil Sid
Sad but true obs as witnessed by me recently. Lad walking down street carrying a snooker cue in a case that somebody mistook for a gun. They reported it to the police and within ten minutes there were armed police swarming about the street. Two weeks earlier a person reported a robber in their garden and it was three days before the police turned up to take a statement.
