Evil Sid
Is there any religion (or deity) today that does not practice intolerance of "non believers"?
observer
Don't think so Sid, possibly the Quakers (turn the other cheek etc); so perhaps a case for purely secular education and an end to this brainwashing?

Dizzy
Is there any religion (or deity) today that does not practice intolerance of "non believers"? The Jehovas still seem to be tolerating me rather well 'considering' if that counts
observer
Kije: the Buddists are having a go at a Muslim minority in Burma - keep up!
fugtifino
Shame, I preferred the idea of Buddhism over many others. Just the Quakers so far then? Anyone who feels it's justified to kill/maim or humiliate another in the defence/promotion of a faith in some kind of sky pixie seems a bit mad to me. I'll only change my mind on this if I end up in some kind of HELL! Don't think I will though.

observer
The concept of an after life was introduced by ruling elites, so that the Plebs would accept a hell on earth and know their place!
Lt Kije
I think you will find its the Muslims trying for autonomy in Burma, Obs, And their is no more trouble in Sri Lanka as the Tamil Tigers are now dead Tamil Tigers, So bringing peace, tranquility and Karma back to the Country. We could learn alot about the eradication of Terrorists from the Buddists in Sri Lanka
observer
A Muslim minority being persecuted by a Buddist majority in Burma. No probs with the Tamil Tigers now - they're all over here, protesting in London!
Lt Kije
No the Muslim minority pushing for their own state. As for the Tamils, any they found died. Not many left anywhere except for India where they came from.

Cleopatra
Seems some people think it is great sport to mock Islam and Muhammad(peace and blessings be upon him). But those same 'brave' people are beset with fear and go into hiding when they realise the wrath of the muslim world is far greater than their mockery and abuse of the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Cowards!
fugtifino
More righteous smiting then? Me hearties.
Cleopatra
No smiting being done by me. I will just leave it upto the fanatic muslims to do the smiting. However, having seen the said film with all it's disgusting filth, lies and blasphemy, I understand the wrath being displayed and would never condemn the muslims for wreaking their wrath upon those responsible for the making of same film, who happen to be Egyptian Christians (so called) in exile in the usa, and those that have allowed them to make it. fugtifino
Blasphemy? "...and those that have allowed them to make it." It was on Youtube: modern technology allowed it and they had permission from nobody. This is sod all to do with any country's government. Arrrr. wolfie
I understand the wrath being displayed and would never condemn the muslims for wreaking their wrath upon those responsible In some way I could possibly understand and agree with that sentiment, but unfortunately it never stops there, it always involves innocent people. Like fugs said this has nothing to do with any country's government
Cleopatra
And now France has joined in with more cartoons of the prophet Mohamed (peace and blessings be upon him) so they too will come know the wrath of islam.

wolfie
No, it isn't and until those fanatics are treated with the contempt they deserve and ignored rather than supported, things will only get worse.
