Evil Sid Posted July 19, 2012 Report Share Posted July 19, 2012 Trundling down winwick road tonight on the way to callands when i spotted a sign saying that delays were possible as they were starting work on the 20/7/2012 to renew either the drains or the water pipes (not sure which as I was paying more attention to the woman texting on her mobile whilst trundling alongside us) So they have spent all this money on improving the road and installing lights etc, why on earth could they not have done this work at the same time instead of now digging up all the nice new tarmac they laid down a few months back? so now we will have a nice new bit with a great big section having a bodged trench along it. Davy51 Posted July 19, 2012 Report Share Posted July 19, 2012 Recent journeys along Winwick Rd have convinced me that it is worse now than before the improvements were done.It wasn't so bad when the work was actually being done.
